Tuesday is job search rush hour

By: Tim Cynova // Published: May 20, 2025

Multiple studies show that more people apply for jobs on Tuesday than any other day of the week, juuuuuust edging out Monday.

This makes sense to me. It’s early in the week, many people are back in work mode (and reminded why they might want a different job), and job boards are freshly updated. Hiring managers also tend to post more roles on Tuesdays than any other day.

But here’s the thing: while a lot of people are applying, not everyone is applying *intentionally*—or pausing to consider whether Tuesday is the best time for *them* to apply.

And I don’t mean whether their résumé is pixel-perfect or if they’ve used “achieved” the optimal number of times in their materials. I mean: have they had a moment to get clear on what kind of work they want to move toward—not just what they’re trying to move away from? Have they had space to consider and make thoughtful, aligned decisions? (And to be clear, sometimes urgency takes the lead here. That’s completely valid, and it deserves space in the mix with everything they’re weighing.)

It’s not about beating an algorithm or automating a high volume of résumé submissions. It’s about pausing for a moment to ask yourself a few questions, and explore tools and language to move forward with confidence.

Career Camp is designed to help you get clear(er) on what matters to you, how you can convey your experience in a way that feels authentic, and how you can connect with colleagues who might assist your search in a way that feels natural—not curl up in an introverted ball of exhaustion kinda way (says the introvert who pretends to be an extrovert).

The more grounded we are in our values, our skills, and our direction, the better our chances of landing roles that actually fit us—not just on paper, but in real life.

Two weeks. Practical tools. Space to reflect. Support so you don’t have to do this alone.

So yes—Tuesdays might be a busy day to apply, but maybe *this* Tuesday is the right time to pause, reflect, recalibrate… and enroll in something that can help you move forward with clarity.
